Chuck Langenhop, CMA

Chuck Langenhop has spent over 25 years supporting small and mid-sized businesses with their financial and organizational needs. Earlier in his career, he worked at two of the “Big Four” accounting firms: Ernst & Young (EY) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He then worked at Frito-Lay in various accounting and financial planning roles at its Dallas headquarters and in southern California.

Following his departure from Frito-Lay, Chuck began his financial consulting career with a CFO Advisory Services, where he spent over two decades. There he worked with a wide variety of clients across many industries including distribution, food processing, discrete manufacturing, field service, and construction. His clients have ranged in size from start-up to over $100 million in annual revenue, or less than 10 employees to over 250.

His client roles include fractional CFO with financial planning & analysis and capital transaction support, ERP selections and implementations, M&A seller exit planning and buyer due diligence, audit support, process improvement, and accounting department assessments. His network of partners includes conventional and SBA lenders, business brokers, private equity firms, valuation experts, CPAs, and attorneys.

Chuck has successfully managed ERP go lives, developed quality of earnings (QoE) reports which were critical in buyer due diligence, managed banking relationships, and turned around companies that were struggling with low or negative operating profit and poor cash flow. He is adept at helping his clients understand their financial situation and guiding them towards positive business outcomes. A special source of pride for him is when a client outgrows the fractional CFO role and hires a full-time CFO. Often the relationship will continue as the new CFO asks him to support special projects.

He has an MBA from Rice University, a BS in accounting from the University of Delaware, and an Executive Marketing Certificate from Southern Methodist University. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and former Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
